Please do not feel overwhelmed about shopping for a new bike. It is not necessary to "know a lot" before you come in. Bicycles are for everyone. We love to ride and you should too - so here are a few things to help facilitate your "new bike" process:
Before visiting:
Think about what type of riding you want to do. There are many different styles of bicycles and they are not all the same. One of the first questions that our staff members will ask you will be centered on your riding style. What are the most important things that you are looking for from your new bicycle?
Expect choices when you visit our shop.
Our staff is ready to listen to your needs, and will be able to help match you with several different options. Do not be overwhelmed when you walk in the door, yes there are a lot of bikes, but we are here to help find the right bike for you. Want to look alone before being assisted by a staff member? That is perfectly ok, but we are always willing to answer any questions you may have.
Our inventory is far larger then our showroom floor space.
Do not be worried if you do not see the bike that interests you in a size that seems appropriate. Our inventory is far larger then our showroom floor space. We keep built and boxed-bike warehouses full of size and model options.
What to expect when visiting our shop: test rides!
One of the key components to any bicycle purchase is the test ride. After all, you are buying the bike to ride it, you will not really get the feel for a bike until you have a chance to ride it. When you are ready to test ride, please come dressed accordingly, it will make your experience safer and more comfortable. Our staff will answer any questions you might have about the bike before your test ride and will always be sure to check proper saddle height to make sure you have a good experience.
While we try to keep as many bikes built as possible- but it may be necessary for us to build a model for you to try. If this is the case, we ask for your patience. Usually we can have a bike built and ready to be tested by the following day - we would much rather sell you the right bike then rush you out the door with the only option that was ready to be sold!
After choosing a bike: the fine details
Saddle is not comfortable? Handlebars are not high enough? Do you want your bike to have a kickstand? Can you add a water bottle cage? Or, what are your options for carrying items on your commute? Cycling shorts? Cycling shoes and clipless pedals? Sure thing! We can help answer your questions and make your riding experience even better.
